I want to stop losing my temper

Honestly, I love my family.  I have two kids ages 6 and 8.  My husband and I have been together 11 years.  But honestly, some days I lose it.  It freaks me out.  How can I be more calm?  I feel like I’m always on edge :-/

This is one of those age-old mommy issues: we all seem to be so much more short-tempered when we become moms.  Why?  Because motherhood robs you of your freedom and Presence with your “womanhood” or previous life.  It’s unnerving!

One thing I’d love to encourage you to do is to consider how much time you’re taking for self-care.  Do you do something that lights up your soul?

Also, have you considered that you’re blowing your lid because you’re penting up feelings?  Alison Armstrong is teaching about this like a BOSS here:  https://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Women-Unlock-the-Mystery/dp/B00B0G28GW

This is one of the MOST impactful books of my entire life.  I found that if I was burying too much hurt or stress and trying to put on a “face” for my family, I’d blow my lid.  Cussing, throwing my shoes down the hallways, etc.

Once I learned to read my emotions and become an observer of my emotions rather than constantly reacting to things around me, I became the most chill person people know.  In fact, I’m penning a manuscript for a book called “Chill AF” right now!

Above all, as a mom I don’t always have time to meditate for hours a day or read books.

HOWEVER, I printed out a bunch of quotes and hung them on my wall.  I read them every day!

I used to get really pissed at my coparent, so I used to read and repeat this mantra when he irked me:

“Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.”  MLK Jr.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”  (Martin Luther King Jr. as well)

I began to repeat these phrases almost daily when I got triggered.

It helped me stop and really focus on showing love or vibrating with high frequency emotions.  I can’t stand negativity so this really helped me align with more powerful emotions like forgiveness, courage, patience, etc.

Read Dr. Wayne Dyer’s The Power Of Intention if you want to learn more about how powerfully you can actually rewire your brain from short-temperedness to peace! https://www.audible.com/pd/Self-Development/The-Power-of-Intention-Audiobook/B002V8H5RU?ref=a_a_search_c3_lProduct_1_1&pf_rd_p=e81b7c27-6880-467a-b5a7-13cef5d729fe&pf_rd_r=JKH1ZPSZCJC6AQEB5MXB&

^^ One of my favorite books of all time!

You’ve got this, mama!
