Confidence

I’m really happy you’re bringing up the topic of confidence.  After my second child, I felt like a blob.  I didn’t gain weight, but it felt like my stomach was bloated for years.  There were very few days, maybe only once every two weeks, when I felt “good” about my body.  Naked, however, is another story.  I need help!  How can I feel good in my body again?

Yuck yuck.  I hate feeling bloated.  One thing that powerfully helps me is going to hot yoga.  I go to a studio in Aspen with over a one-hundred degree temperature.  It helps me detox like a mad woman.  I hate drinking water and would drink coffee all day.  However, drinking tea really helps.  I love the taste of Turmeric Tea, mint, etc.  Diana Lane calls tea, “food grade medicine” in the MomsWearCapes program.  Another thing that I hate to say is that it may be a bit mental… like totally in your head!  Perhaps you like to control everything or be perfect.  You may struggle with body dysmorphic disorder.  I make a habit of taking constant naked pictures of myself in flattering positions just for myself.  I love to do tons of situps with an exercise ball or on the floor when I feel gross.  Just 20 minutes later and I feel boss.  Check out Tatum Rebelle and Moderna Muse’s quick workouts in Module 8.  Above all, you need to make sure that you stab your lack of confidence at the root.  I’d seriously watch and rewatch Colette Davenport’s videos in Modules 1, 2 and 6.  She’s my personal confidence coach and she’s truly revolutionalized my life.

Check out these mantras I repeat constantly to myself to remind me that I’m freaking AWESOME.

Big hugs mama bird.
