One of the most shocking moments in the Moms Wear Capes program is when Michelle Norris bravely details her daughter’s sudden death in today’s Moms Wear Capes clip.
I’ve listened to this interview no less than a dozen times because when things are painful in my life, I just remember this brave mama lioness and remember – honestly, it could be worse.
There’s nothing scarier than the thought of losing a child.
Michelle had a monumental experience when a pastor told her, “Michelle, if you don’t give God Glory for this, Satan wins.”
Michelle recalls that moment as the turning point in her pain, and the impetus for her and her husband leaving their corporate jobs and starting Paleo f(x).
She recalls,
“And all of a sudden everything turned for me. I went ‘Oh my God he is right I cannot be angry with God for this because she was a threat, she was a total threat to what’s bad and evil and satanic in this world.’ She was a threat. And it suddenly hit me and I had complete peace about where she was. And what was really interesting was she had in her journals all of her journals she would always tape print out and tape it in the insides of her journals. It said ‘live your life so that when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor Satan shudders and says oh God she’s awake’.
In today’s challenge, I’d like you to write these words in your business portfolio, on a piece of paper, in a journal, and anywhere else you’ll see it.
You don’t have to believe in God or Satan. If those words make you uncomfortable, feel free to substitute them for Light and Dark or Good and Bad.
